Carlo Olivares Paganoni
Carlo is a writer, director, and filmmaker, living in Los Angeles. Originally from Mexico City, Carlo started his career in advertising and later moved to the U.S. to join Cartoon Network Latin America’s award-winning On-Air Department
Following his passion to tell bigger stories, he moved to Burbank, California, in order to produce an animated series based on the famous Mexican luchador Hijo del Santo, El Enmascarado de Plata, at Cartoon Network Studios.
Wanting to switch from animation to live-action, he studied Screenwriting at UCLA and later graduated with an MFA in Film from Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, where his thesis short film "Cardboard Camera", won a Student Emmy®.
Now, he incorporates both live-action and animation into his imaginative storytelling style and, currently directs-writes-produces promos and short form content for Disney Branded Television.
Carlo also serves as a writer and story editor at Walt Disney Imagineering as part of the team developing “Coco” the Theme Park attraction at Disney California Adventure.
