About

Born in Mexico, when Carlo walked by an Aztec ruin site, an image of the mythical feathered serpent, Quetzalcóatl, captured his imagination. Since then, he has tried to live a life of a comic-book-like adventure. Early on, Carlo fell in love with cartoons. He would wake up early Saturday mornings and watch them on cable. He believes that a GPS-like connection ties his soul to the medium. Proof of this is that since graduating college and having a small stint in advertising, he has continuously fed his soul by working in animation, making spots that promote it and being always around it.

He started his career at Cartoon Network (at the Latin American headquarters in Atlanta) and then worked for Disney when he moved to LA to produce his own animated show. Santo Contra Los Clones was the short that made him make such move in order to produce it and expand it into a full-blown show at Cartoon Network Studios but, unfortunately the powers, thought different and the show stayed in development. Afterwards, Carlo  sharpened his storytelling skills, first by studying screenwriting at UCLA and then film directing at Art Center College of Design.

Now, he writes and produces promos for Disney Branded Television, as well as directs live-action shoots, and most recently, Carlo became part of the team developing the “Coco Ride” at California Adventure, where he acts both as writer and story editor. Carlo kickboxes, makes music, writes scripts and every now and then, he toys with the idea of writing a novel. He currently lives in Los Angeles, with his wife and daughter.
